New Wireless Network for Michener Students

As of January 24th 2018, the Michener Institute has implemented a new wireless network for use by students. The network name (or "SSID")  for this network is "Michener_Students".

If students wish to continue using the wireless network at The Michener Institute, they will be required to switch their devices to this new SSID.

Students will no longer be able to use the "Michener" SSID as of February 1st, 2018.

Devices with student logins still connected to this network as of February 1st will no longer be able to access the internet at Michener via WiFi, until they switch to the new student network.

Instructions on how to remove the “Michener” network from your device and connect to the new “Michener_Students” network are listed below:

iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch)

On your iOS device, tap Settings, then tap WiFi. To delete the "Michener" network, tap the blue (i) icon next to the "Michener" WiFi network in the "Choose a Network" list. On the next screen, tap "Forget this Network".

Once the "Michener" network has been removed, you can connect to the "Michener_Students" network by following the connection instructions available here: Connecting to WiFi - iOS.

Android

On your Android device, open the Settings app, then tap WiFi. To delete the "Michener" network, long press the "Michener" network, then choose "Forget network".

Instructions may vary depending on Android device.

macOS

To delete the "Michener" network, open System Preferences, and then click Network. Click the "WiFi" entry in the sidebar, and then click the "Advanced..." button.

In the "Preferred Networks:" list that appears, find the "Michener" WiFi network, select it, and then click the minus button below the Preferred Networks list, and then click "OK".

Once the "Michener" network has been removed, you can connect to the "Michener_Students" network by following the connection instructions available here: Connecting to WiFi - macOS

Windows (Windows 7, 8, 8.1 & 10)

Windows WiFi setup varies greatly from computer to computer. You will need to delete "Michener" the WiFi network from the utility your Windows computer uses to connect to WiFi.
